(Renewal. Empowerment. Intervention. Newness. Vision. Now)

Reinvent is a human service non-profit agency that serves the underserved population of New York City.  It provides individuals and their families the opportunity to reinvent their futures by utilizing REINVNT’s programs and services through training and employment,

The city has regained fewer than 6 of every 10 jobs it lost since the pandemic began, while the nation has regained more than 90 percent of lost jobs. Since the start of the year, nearly six million jobs have been added in the United States. The unemployment rate has plummeted to 4.2 percent, close to where it stood before the pandemic. But in New York City, the economy appears to be in a rut.

After gaining 350,000 jobs in the last months of 2020, employment has slowed considerably this year, with just 187,000 jobs added since March. The city’s unemployment rate of 9.4 percent is more than double the national average, and its decline in recent months was largely caused by people dropping out of the labor force.

Nearly two years later, New York has added back a little more than half the jobs it lost, according to the state Labor Department, far less than the rest of the country, underscoring how the pandemic ravaged some of the city’s core economic engines like tourism, hospitality and retail.

In addition, working closely with the New York City Department of Human Resources Administration (HRA), this agency will make referrals for all the humane services that are needed for the families to restabilize their lives through receiving monetary assistance, medical assistance and counseling for clients, inclusive of clients with disabilities including those with mental health disabilities.  Services will include, but are not limited to, case management and social work.

The goal is to reinvent lives by assisting individuals to achieve stability in their lives, as well as, empowering individual self-esteem and self-worth by enabling individuals by providing them with the means to achieve independence. This will be achieved through:

Training and Employment
